My wife would probably disagree, at least not at our house

Fill the tires with hydrogen.

Oh the humanity!

I get the best results using a 78% nitrogen, 21 % oxygen mixture.

It's often used in race cars because nitrogen pressure is more consistent than normal air pressure, because air typically contains different amounts of moisture on a given day. Water causes air to be inconsistent in its rate of expansion and contraction.

A 1/2 lb. or even 1/4 lb. of pressure in a tire can have a huge impact on how a race car handles. Using nitrogen helps make the adjustments consistent.

It's a horseshite money grab for passenger cars. Just saw a dealer added sticker that included $89 for "nitrogen treatment". Please.

With nitrogen I found I was getting less change in pressure depending on the temp of my tires. Say only a 1 or 2 psi change vs a 3 or 4 psi change with air.

I am picky about my pressures on my car. For your everyday SUV I wouldn't worry about it.

I just run a hose to my ahole and fill em up with all natural gas. My truck gets 55 mpg since!

Just add air. Won't reap the benefits of the nitrogen any longer but you'll be fine.

Well , that and it takes care of tire pressure sensors in all of todays vehicles which can be a pain in the arse.

Tempature does not affect nitrogen at 92% or higher. Which means tire pressure stats consistent no matter tire temp. In turn , helping prevent tire monitor lights always coming in and it helps with gas mileage

It's also used in nascar, Indy car , Tour De France bikes (and most bike riders tires) , cabs, police cars , fire trucks, etc.

Great for bikes.

Another benefit is portability. Get a small tank setup and you don't have to worry about powering up a compressor.

Musson patout in new iberia added 499 charge for nitro in tires. That was in addition to what i was quoted. It was hidden up in a list of items in the invoice. They only wanted me to see the monthly payment.

I told them to remove it or i was walking. They were pissy but removed it. I bought car being i had already taken off work that day, but never again at that place.
