Those signs are so unecessary. A stretch Nicholson Dr. also has tons of signs lining it now saying no parking on shoulder, because of the lsu games.

I know a few people that refuse to drive it because there isn't a place to pull over if your shite breaks down.

I guarantee there will be more accidents and more people killed if they build that shoulder.

The last thing you want is a shoulder on that bridge for people to pull over and park. The texters and the drunks on the bridge will be plowing in to those stopped vehicles.

Causeway commission are a bunch of dim wits looking for a money grab.

Causeway doesn't need it's own police. Let Jefferson/st Tammany sheriffs handle it.

Only if they stay stationed on there 24/7 which they won't. As long as the bridge has no shoulders they need cops on there at all times. Break down between the crossovers and see how fast you wish they were even closer to you. Especially with all the people texting and driving and whatever else. A pile up can happen super quick with cars getting pushed over the sides.

The article says 21 mil made up 70ish something percent and 5.8 from the state made up 27ish percent. That leads me to believe it was not included but rather leads to a 27 mil total.

My dealings with Causeway Police have left me very unimpressed.

Let STPSO or JPSO take over. It would be a huge upgrade.

A fair statement, and I will answer:

It has been awhile since I dealt with this, but years ago it was a State statue that boards or commissions did not have to make their budget available to the public.

This may have changed and hopefully some others can help my recollection with this.

I call bs if this is just for maintenance, but it appears it is not. I would agree to a temporary increase but not a permanent one for sure.
