I know a few people that refuse to drive it because there isn't a place to pull over if your shite breaks down. Last time I went across, my check engine light was flashing for about 18 miles and my truck was missing badly. Would've been nice to have a place to break down, but whatever

if you went 18 miles you would have passed a few crossovers.

It was just a misfire from a coil pack with 140k miles on it. I replaced it the next day in 5 minutes for $35

I don't mind the increase. It keeps the trash out of Mandeville.

My buddy was trying to buy a lot in River Club right when they were first announced. Developer wouldn't sell him the one he wanted. I think he dodged a bullet.

Actually it's the other way around. Tolls are collected leaving the Northshore. keeps the trash there if they can't afford the tolls.

We must have run across one another IRL at some point.

I grew up in Mandeville and went to MHS so it is very likely.

while I have no issues raising tolls, my concern is that there really is no good alternative free route. In Houston , if you don't want to ride the toll roads, you can take the regular hiways and still get to where you need to go, albeit a tad bit slower. If you don't like the tolls on the LPC, you have to drive completely around the lake.

Is it to cover the cost of the recently added mile markers installed every 1/10 of a mile?

I say we stop the tolls and knock the bridge off into the lake for artificial reef purposes. Build a moat around this area and get back to living and loving.
