It's the highest number of visitors since 2004, pre Katrina. Great news for NO and for La.

But it's not a record.

More people would come if we wiped the city clean of dem rebel statues and the evil white influence.

Asheville has nationally recognized craft breweries such as Sierra Nevada and Oskar Blues along with over 20 smaller breweries. Nola has what, 5 or 6.

Counting Northshore or just NOLA?

Think 7 or 8 now just in NOLA.

Northshore, about 15.

I think something like 8 breweries have opened over the past two years with more on the way.
I don't see it being a big tourist driver, but it just adds to the options of things to do once here

Exactly. It seems like an odd thing to focus on.

The breweries seem like things residents do, not tourists.

I don't think NOLA is destination for craft beer, but the breweries are crawling with tourists.

Nah, there are a lot more beer tourist than you think. I've met quite a few at The Avenue Pub.
It's not even in the same league as to even mention with Asheville, but it's a nice niche to have

I wish we could trade all of these SJWs for some sexy Latinas or a some PAWGs. I'd vote for that

You realize this was posted on here by NOLA Brew Bus, right? Of course they're going to focus on the craft beer tourism.

It's a pretty legit thing, truthfully. There are plenty of people out there who will factor in local breweries to their vacation destinations. And even more who will seek out local breweries when there for another reason. Like a convention in NOLA, for instance.

yeah tours are a thing now, plus people from outside the South have been drinking good beer longer and want a good beer on vacation.

Latinas wouldn't serve you $8 frites looking like they hadn't showered in 5 days.
