Is it weird to get new neighbors a particular gift? I want to make sure they feel welcome. My wife insists we invite them over for a potluck. What does the OT say?

Never make eye contact and only silently wave when absolutely necessary.

A bottle of wine or a plant in a nice container is a nice offering. Having them over for a BBQ is a nice gesture, too.

Home depot gift card is the best gift for someone who just moved.

Find out if he has a duck lease, a camp/condo on the coast, or a hot wife.

React accordingly.

Bringing them some cookies or some wine is a nice gesture and it goes a long way. First, you find out if they are normal people. Well that is actually it. You just find out if they are normal people. If they are cool, awesome. If not, your screwed. You want to find that sort of thing out early on.
