A silencer or suppressor would only quieten the gunpowder boom and not the supersonic boom.

I'm unaware of any suppressors that are made for the .50. Makes me seriously doubt the validity of this website

Can you imagine? Hadji is saying his Allah Akbars about to swing the knife when his head explodes. At that range is the round still supersonic? Either way, there's a delay before you hear the zip of the bullet. At first his buddies are confused. Then the next guys head explodes. Now the last guy is shitting his pants. He knows what's happened. Looking around, trying to see where it's coming from. But before he can even get a bearing, boom headshot.
