How's that going to rile up people?

I did almost include the words "fear mongering" in my original post, but I held back.

Meh...a lot of us could stand to lose a few pounds. Ebola sound easier than dieting.

my mom always says "I'm just one stomach flu away from my goal weight." Pretty sure she got that from the movie devil wears prada. In any case it's funny to see people's reactions when she says that.

I'm not saying we should be worried, because I think a lot of this is overblown, but 3500 people have died so far and the number of infected are steadily growing.

There's a theory that this particular strain of Ebola progresses a little slower, which would mean more time for the infected to live/travel and infect others. As of right now it is estimated that every person who gets Ebola will give it to 2 other people - not a good ratio.

If the new containment strategies don't work, we could be looking at over a million by January.

That being said, I think we will get it under control very soon.

That's Obama's fault too.

It's fricking time to issue a blanket policy - you go over there, you stay there, and no one leaves that shithole until this over. No outbound flights.

How fricking hard is it?

Well I didn't say it was the worst ratio, but surely you can see the difference between this virus and those you have listed.

Cause there's less chance he spreads it if he stays his arse where he came from

There's essentially zero chance he spreads it when they fly him here in an isolation suit on a special airplane built to contain the most contagious viruses where he'll be met on the tarmac by an ambulance that will carry him to a world-class hospital that is more than capable of containing a droplet-spread virus.

Thus, the medical community is willing to accept the patient, and the US Government is allowing the patient into the country's borders.
