Unfortunately it won't be any thing we'd like it to be.
If there was any good sign of previous life on the planet the news would have leaked.
Therefore, I conclude this is an announcement that some compound is there that would have supported life if it was there sort of thing.

I never understood why we even have a space program. Sending a man to the moon was NASA's biggest accomplishment, and that didn't materialize into anything.
