It's the weirdest thing. It's almost like he having some kind of seizure. I can tell it's freaking him out. He's laying on his side in his bed, and will just begin to spasm with his leg for like 5 seconds. I'm looking it up on petmd and can't find anything like it. Anybody seem or know what the hell is causing this?

Stop being a dick and massage his quad - jeezus mate, put yourself in his paws... You have the ability to ease his suffering - do it

Boxer. Just turned 8. No leg issues I have seen. He's been pacing for the past 7-8 minutes. He is so weirded out by it

Watch him closely next 48 hrs. Sounds like what they call myoclonus. Older dog showing weird movement like that followed by abnormal pacing behavior sounds like just had a seizure. If he does anything like that again, time it. You'll need to tell any vet exactly how long it happened for and it'll seem longer than it really is unless you're timing it.

This dog vaccinated against distemper?

Sherwood South Animal Hospital is awesome and a 24-hour emergency vet if you think it's necessary to bring him in. Either way, I'd try to get him in the vet's office tomorrow.

Definitely sounds like he just had a seizure. If you don't take him to a vet tonight make sure you watch him closely and try and schedule an appointment ASAP with regular vet. Hope everything goes well
