Gentilly is he next up and coming family neighborhood. But you need to know what parts are okay. Closer to the Park the better.
Single?
then
Warehouse District.

Anyone saying uptown & lakeview is not being realistic. Answer is Chalmette.

Are you kidding!?!?
For $1,200 a month, Audubon Place would be a dream!

Uptown, warehouse district, bywater-marigny are all slam dunks.
I wouldn't say the bywater is a slam dunk.
Look at lakeview, old metairie, mid-city by city park, uptown close to magazine.

No question. I'd move today if it were true.

You could join the "Country Club" over by the Naval Station. Maybe you could go swimming on the weekends and hob-nob?

Serious. The Saulet is very nice. I find it to be safe. They've remodeled since the storm. Not sure how The Saulet was pre Katrina.

Daughter just graduated and signed a six month lease there to see if she likes it.

Yeah it's conveniently located too. They have a nice pool

She commutes over the ccc and has lived in dorms at Tulane four years so she likes the location. A nurse we know lived there after she graduated for a couple of years and liked it.

I haven't heard any bad things about it, but it's not in a very walkable area, which is a big thing for me.
