Don't get me wrong, I love them. It's just part of the joke me and my buddies have come up with.

I go to BWW pretty often actually because I've found it to be the most convenient place to watch sports and drink beers.

But if you're going to a nicer bar, even like Corner Bar, the crowd is much, much different. Mostly professionals and fine arse cougars.

Now I'm hungry and trying to figure out what I want for lunch

I am sorry if I offended some people in this thread, again that was not my intent. The people that immediately get on the defense are the same people that cannot form an unbiased opinion on Lafayette. I have many friends here and don't wish any bad on the people of Acadiana. I just prefer not to live here. Just my UNBIASED opinion. Also, I prefer not to live in Alabama.

I grew up around Lafayette, a lot of what you say is true, but only to an extent. There is definitely good food there, but a large portion of it is served in homes, not restaurants. There are also a ton of douches in Lafayette, but there are good people too. It really depends on where you go. Some of the douches are in Lafayette, but not from Lafayette. I met a huge douche that lives in Lafayette this past weekend, but he was from Livonia.

ETA: Obviously I'd prefer not to live there, too

it's very easy to stand out if you don't fall in line with the Lafayette mold. Lafayette guys like to get into pissing contests about how much money they make, who they know, how in shape they are or better yet, how much they know about the oilfield.

Sounds alot like Monroe except maybe substitute farming/selling life insurance for oilfield.

And the entire website still gives no shits. You must have gotten kicked out of the keg time and time again when you were a child.
The Keg? Pffffttt...

Scruffy ain't no guido. He has class. Like Scruffy would go to The Keg.

It's actually been about 7-8 years since he stepped in that place.

Be nice, Scruffy may be having his time of the month.
Nah, broham. It starts next week.

My guess he came on to the wrong guy and Scruffy suffered a beatdown...guess ONLY, mind you.

Like anyone in Lafayette could take Scruffy.
