there are plenty non tap out people. Depends where you go and who you associate with. If in O&G then it might be tough to avoid the blue collar jacked up truck tapout folk.

I was at Pour in River Ranch last night and laughed at a dude making fun of other people for being there. No tap out, Ed hardy.

Been to both. That is not Italian food.

Never tried Johnson's, but will this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.

Offended me? That's laughable. I'm not from here, and I'm moving in a year. However, your bang on the food makes your dis on the city irrelevant. I've been known to cook a good dish or two, venture into some of the best restaurants in the country in NYC and other large cities, and I will quickly admit that lafayette is among one of the best food cities in the entire country.

I'll admit that there isn't great Italian in the city.

You want Asian? Just go to Pimon Thai. You can get your Thai and Asian fix easily, and it's top 3 best Thai and Asian restaurants I've ever been to.

You want BBQ? Just go to Johnson's boucaniere. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had.

It's not like you need multiple restaurants to find good food. You need 1 great Asian place and 1 great BBQ place for what it sounds like you're dearly missing, both of which I've named.

You can hate the city, but you can't hate the food. You're a gump. I'm not sure why I expected you to have a half decent palate anyway.

Sounds like you're hanging out in all the wrong places. Lafayette has good food and nice people who aren't guidos. You can't just stereotype an entire city like that.

You just completely contradicted yourself in one post. If you were not offended, why resort to name calling? I live here and my intentions were not to piss people off, but of course it did. I will not ever speak bad about laffy again.

South Point is a nice complex. And there's lots of tail near the pool in the summer.

These fools just have no idea. All they think about is the dumb and false affliction guido stereotype. I'd move back to Lafayette in a heartbeat if the opportunity presents itself.

There are a couple nice apt complexes on the Broussard/Youngsville side of Lafayette. Audubon Lakes is a good one and a quick drive to Hwy 90. Lived there for a year and liked it.

Check out the crescent and main st apartments at river ranch. Really nice, has everything in that one area. There's also a brand new complex, I forget the name but it seems really nice from online photos. I'll edit later when I find it.

Also, look at the apartment complex in sugar mill pond area of Youngsville. Really fast growing area, with a lot going on.

I stayed at Audobon Lake for a year also. Decent apartment, and the pool area is legit. I think I only paid about $750 for a 1br.

You're moving for a job that only pays enough for $700 in rent?
