Since February, I live close enough (5 blocks across the interstate from Coors Field) to downtown, where I can not drive for several days in a row. I work downtown and can walk home in 30 minutes when it's nice out and I ride the 5 minute bus ride in to work. Sometimes I ride my bike. When I go out boozing with friends, it's about a $5.50 uberx ride each way.

Thanks

I'm graduating from lsu in finance in finance in a few years. I would pick Denver over NOLA/Dallas/Houston if I could get a job.

Is this mandated by law?

As in if I don't want to depending on my schedule in the evenings and if I have to go somewhere or not that I'd have to drive. Some evenings I run late errands after traffic and what not.

Colorado is becoming a transplant state for liberal Californians due to California's shitball economy.

Reference their politicians in office right now.

The place may be pretty but the people in office suck a big one.

One could argue, based on our elected officials and voting patterns, that it's a terrible place run by awful commie gun-snatching liberals.

And if you lived here, you'd be arguing that while your kids are in good schools, your streets are nicely paved, crime is low, and the mountains are freaking beautiful.

Then you'd order another locally-brewed craft beer of your choice(more breweries per capita than any city in the nation,) listen to some live bluegrass on a patio, and totally forget what you were pissed off about in the first place.

Well, I live in a state where statues of Ronald Reagan stand tall in churches, and the quality of life here sucks.

I'll take my chances in Colorado.

Colorado has been a place I have always wanted to move to. Would love to finally commit myself to doing it. Really hard for me to leave everything behind where I currently am.

You've obviously never come across the Boulder City Council. Bunch of micromanaging fools.

I don't do a whole lot with the alumni group anymore, but some friends went to Krewe BBQ on Lincoln last week and said it was packed with LSU people and they had the game on every TV.

Colorado is a nice play to live and work.

Can they keep it going, though? If were to move out there in say...10 years, would it still be as appealing as it is now?

I only drive on the weekends for the most part, even then most of the time its only to go hiking, mtns, etc.

CO is awesome living. There are some downsides....
* its a little heavy on the men - thus the term menver. If you are a single guy moving out here, dating can be a tad rough (per my friends)
* the winters aren't that bad but if you are moving from the south it can be quite a change.
* Traffic sucks, public transportation isnt very good, and every jack arse in the country is moving here.

I looked into a move to the Denver area. The pay would have been excellent, but the cost of living is ridiculous and there seem to be way too many ultra liberal (make rules for your own good) types out there. Outside of the Denver suburbs I think the people are really cool (more libertarian).

Completely forgot about that place next to Stoney's. An obvious choice for LSU since it opened. Hopefully it lasts longer than the previous 3 or 4 places in that spot. Seems to turnover every 2 years or so.
