Looks like the trillion dollar infrastructure plan is gonna happen bigly.

LA can expect maybe 1-2 billion a year over next 10 years.

1. Completion of I49 south.
2. BR loop
3. Replacement of I10 bridge in LC.
4. Widen I12 to 6 lanes across its entire length.

2. BR loop

This thing, as well as fixing the Washington St exit debacle.

The BR loop would be a huge help, but will not get done unless the planners shift the route to pass through more rural areas. The last path put the northern portion right through three of the fastest growing areas in the state, Central, Walker, and Watson. What amazes me is if they shifted the route about 5 miles more to the north they could follow the highway 63 corridor that has hardly anything out there.

3. BR Loop
4. Widen I12 the entire length
5. I49
6. Replacement of I10 bridge in Lake Charles to a 6-lane (or 8, plan ahead) bridge and then...
7. Widen I10 the entire length

1.Getting rid of a one lane interstate system on I10 East where the Washington Street exit is.

2.The loop.

Not a single person currently posting on TD will live to see either!

Major river diversion in Plaquemines parish among other coastal projects.

If we're talking traffic infrastructure either the loop or an Addis bridge with I-10 connectors on both sides of the river.

I think I-49S should be considered the most important. It has the potential to bolster the local economies of many S.LA towns/cities.

a New wider MS river bridge in BR as well

We could definitely use a new LP to AP highway connector to bypass BR

agreed, but the good ol' USACE will screw the state's balls to the wall for affected wetlands running the cost WAY higher than it should be

And if you complete this, you don't need to go full on BR Loop. Just a northern bypass will suffice.

Northern Bypass and a bridge linking LA415 to LA30

I'll go one more step and widen 10/12 across the entire state. But 12 would be the right place to start.

My only addition would be a rail line betweeen NOLA and BR...and before everyone flips their shite, it would need to coincide with key stops/locations that would allow for easy access (LSU, MSY, etc.)

I took this great seriously until you said BR Loop

J/K

Hopefully the loop and the completion of 49 go into full swing soon.

I10 at Airline clover loop of death needs to go. Follow that up with making Airline 3 lane through the entire parish and then some.

How about the diversion canal that was approved 20 years ago that would prevent flooding in LP and AP.

That interchange is the friggin Devil.

It should be thanking Wash St for distracting BR residents away from how truly awful the I12/Airline interchange is...

Airline needs to have a center "expressway" with frontage roads that serve the local businesses all the way up to the old BR bridge.

I still can't fathom how LA doesn't believe in tollways/bypasses and HOV lanes. Who wouldn't pay $5 and avoid the I10 one lane off the bridge/I12 split/Livingston Parish congestion?
