Newman $23,378
St Martins $20,100
De la Salle $10,278
Holy Cross $10,225
Brother Martin $9360
Rummel $9130
Jesuit $8725
St Pauls $8400
I've got an incredibly hard time believing that the average student at Newman is getting 2x the education that the average Rummel or Jesuit student is receiving.

It's not the education so much as the environment. If your kid is surrounded by kids who will have a successful future, there's a better chance they will too.

Not public.
Just making the fact that it cost about 15% more than just the tuition, easily.
It's crazy

Yup, as I said earlier, filtering out the riff raff.
There are some private schools that are ridiculously hard though where you are getting "2x the education."
Have a buddy who went to one in the northeast and it sounded awful.

The worst is the "registration fee" they hit me up with every year

My daughter just started high school. Between tuition and fees of all types we paid a little over 9k this year.
The funny/sad part was when they came to us requesting each girl bring in two boxes of Kleenex for the class.

Most private schools (especially the Catholic schools) operate on a shoestring budget. Your 9K for your daughter is less than the amount allocated per student by the state in the public school system.

This is for the US, but interesting enough to post. Most Expensive High Schools
I have a cousin who went to #11 on that list back in the late 70's early 80's.

Catholic elementary school up here...$3K yearly
The top 3 Catholic high schools, St. Ignatius, St. Edward and Padua Franciscan are all between $11K and $14K.
Little CT is in 4th grade and I have 5 years to figure it out.

I was paying $11000/year per kid for k-8th grade in Fayetteville, AR 5 years ago. Not sure what it has jumped up to now. Luckily I moved to one of the best school districts in Ohio back in 2011, so my kids go to public schools now.
Yes, I pay a little bit more in taxes, but its only about $5000-$6000 more than I was in Arkansas. So if I am averaging only $3000 more per kid I consider this a victory.

NYC laughs at you. Here is the tuition at the Chapin School in NYC. Yes, kindergarten will cost you $41,100.
That is outrageous, except that it's NYC. The cost of living there is astronomical compared to the south. You can work a job in Louisiana and make 80K/year, and the same job in NYC you'll make 160K/year. So accounting for the cost of living increase, it would be like sending a kid to Newman in NOLA.
