Nothing wrong with this if the people are good. The worst is watching people do this that absolutely blow

I hate playing on the weekends. Some of the best golf I have played is by myself on a Tuesday morning. Really lets me clear my head and enjoy myself.

1 - Most annoying is the "I have two minutes to look for my ball guy". It splashed. I saw it splash. You saw it splash. Everyone saw it splash. Just because you find a ball, doesn't mean it's your ball.

2 - People who play OB like a lateral hazard then want to talk about what they "shot". I don't care at all about improving a lie or even an occasional foot wedge to get away from a root or something hazardous but when your ball hits a roof, then you look through the backyard and can't find it...you're not hitting three from 200+ from the tee box.

I should've included that. I hate people who spend more than a few minutes looking for a ball. I'm all for playing the right way and taking your time...but don't hold everyone up while you spend 10 minutes looking 100 yards into the woods because you think you can pull off a Tin Cup type shot if you happen to find it.

Agreed. Sometimes if I'm going through some shite and just need to clear my head, I'll take off half a day of work in the middle of the week and go play somewhere by myself. Really lets me just relax and not think about anything other than focusing on my golf. Really helps me calm down a ton.

If a single or duo are behind our group (3-4) we never let them play through. Otherwise we would be waiting on others the whole round. If you can't get in at least a threesome, don't expect to play through at our club.

Played golf since I was 5 so I probably have too many.
#1. I hit a shot on a Par 3 that lands in the drink before the green. Some a-hole asks, 'what club did you hit'? WTF?

I don't play golf, but why do those yahoos ride around with one foot hanging out of the cart? It looks so gay.

walking in my line (while it generally wont affect the putt that much, its a big mental thing for me)
long pre-shot routines
double stalking putts (unless it's a big money game)
grounding your club in the hazard
mulligan's
not repairing ball marks
5somes
slow play

It's not hard to aggravate me on the course

eta: looking for lost balls and not playing by the rules (particularly OB as lat hazard)

People yelling "MASHED POTATOES!" after my tee shot.

I guess my pet peeve is when people have a general lack of situational awareness. They don't realize they're next to putt so they don't start lining up the putt until it's their turn. They leave clubs on the other side of the green instead of the side you're going to walk off. They park the cart at the front of the green where their chip shot is rather than behind it for after they putt out. The only thing more annoying than being held up by a slow group is holding up the group behind you. If I'm in a group with someone that has no awareness of what they're doing, it makes me not want to play with them anymore. You don't have to rush through every shot but be efficient in your actions so that we can get out of the way of the group behind us.
