I probably would have done the same however you need to take into account that Utah is on Pacific time, so to them it was only 9pm.
In the future also rethink your choice of home defense....While a pistol is adequate for one late night intruder, two intruders require a pump 12 ga.shotgun or AR-15. Don't make that common mistake again baw.
