I'm only upset that I can't call her an overrated actress without me being called a Trumpster now.

I love how out of touch these celebrities are with the majority of this country. They really think people care what they believe in.

People have her rated high? I haven't seen her in anything in a while.

Who gives a f**k what she or any of these other celebrity nut jobs have to say.

Meryl, it took me 10 seconds on google to completely nullify this rubbish of your "speech".
Link is from Catholics4Trump.com
Sounds like a completely unbiased source

Yea, her speech has inspired me to never watch any of her movies ever again.

You and all of us in this room really belong to the most vilified segments in American society right now.
Poor things.

So Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners. And if we kick them all out you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts.
In the UFC there are 11 belts. 5 of those 11 are foreigners, Aldo, Nunes, Conor, Bisping, Joanna. One (Holloway) is a pacific islander. Of the remaining 5, 3 are black and one is the son of Croatian immigrants. The last one is a white guy from Ohio.

I am convinced these frickers just talk to hear themselves talk.

It was rambling nonsense. She never made a point. What part did you agree with?

She has every right to her opinion, but the fact that she took time in a speech that was honoring her lifetime achievements to obsess about The Donald.
I think these two points are quite salient, indeed. For those saying why give her a platform, or such opinions; those saying "ignore it" or even making fun of the more conservative types being now "triggered" : this has been shared all over social media, as well as in the news and entertainment media. This means it gets out there, and whether we watched or did not watch the Golden Globes---I didn't and will not---we still hear about it.
Whether you listen to terrestrial radio in the car, or keep up on Twitter, or any of the others, it's "out there" which, then, makes it a proper topic for discussion. And, that leads to the points made by conservative-minded posters in THIS discussion.

If I boycotted every movie headlined by an actor/actress who made an ignorant sociopolitical statement I would be reading a lot more books.

I don't look to celebrities for their political or social insight, though.
Me neither, and I kind of scratch my head at people that do take celebrity opinions seriously. Celebrities are the most insulated-from-reality group of people in this country, they have no idea what it is like to live in "real" America.
A reality TV celebrity just became president

You do know that he was well-known before the dawn of reality TV, right?
Posted on 1/9/17 at 9:25 am to Tiger Ryno
The needlenosed bitch reveres the founders for the first amendment. Does she equally recognize their insight for creating the second amendment?

No shite?
Thanks for that revelation. You do know he's still a reality TV celebrity, even if he was a celebrity before that.
Right?
Nor does The Apprentice change the fact that he's still a celebrity....
So what this should say is:
quote:
Me neither, and I kind of scratch my head at people that do take celebrity opinions seriously unless I agree with them.

You should absorb your own statement.
