Europe is asking for $15 an hour???

Seems like it would be more effective if they hired the robots in the country that were bitching about wages so publicly.

I never thought about this until that post the other day. It made me crave a McDonalds shake.

The machine was down.

God forbid a special order like "plain no cheese" comes on their screen.

Try ordering no cheese at Taco Bell. You'd think that you just asked them to perform brain surgery.

Hurts more than it helps, as much as people bitch about Mcdonald employees at the counter, people would rather talk and interact with people.

You like talking to automated systems?

I agree that these robot cashiers may make more work for the actual people there. I worked in a cell phone store for years while I was in college and we had a Payment Station in the back corner so people could pay their bill without waiting. It was incredible how many fricking stupid people there are that they had no clue how to work a simple touch screen computer(similar to an ATM at a bank) to pay their own bill.

I should have gotten fired several times for some of the comments I made to those idiots who needed help.

They also have self checkout at Home Depot. But if you've gotta five, there's usually a Mexican to do it for you.

This is the same thing people said about the self checkouts at the grocery store years ago and many people still can't figure out how to scan a product and place it in the bagging area without needing the assistance of a cashier.

I think if I have to scan and bag my own then I should automatically get a discount at the register.

And try getting a correct order at Danny and Clydes. They have these and they still frick up my order every time.

I don't think this is entirely accurate. I think I remember reading a study that said more people (especially younger) prefer interacting with computers rather than people in most cases.

To all of you talking about the broken ice cream machines. You do know that they're not actually broken right? The employees are just too damn lazy to deal with it so they tell you it's broken.

Yeah I had to use the app, because my StepDaughter likes her tacos, just tortilla (soft) lettuce, tomato and sour cream.
Try ordering that at the window, the other girl likes her's Tortilla (soft) and just meat and nothing else.

When i used to go to the window they never got it right. So I use the app and it's never wrong now.

sad but true

Why is this sad? Every company is trying to find ways to cut cost and become more efficient. The retards wanting 15 an hour are just a part of the equation. Manufacturing has always been big on lean/six sigma concepts, but it is really hitting it's stride in the service industry.
