When Three 6 Mafia won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2006, Juicy J’s first words were, “Thank you, Jesus”. The song was It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp.
From this story:
quote:
D.J. Paul, Juicy J and Crunchy Black accepted the award with such enthusiasm that it prompted host Jon Stewart to tell the seasoned filmmakers in the crowd, "That's how you accept an Oscar."

Yeah that was so groundbreaking and edgy, never seen anything like that in the history of television. I am sure those folks fell off their rocker when they saw this. Ya know, it being unprecedented and all.

What an awesome speech, anyone thinking otherwise is a damn fool. He seems cool as shite to hang out with. Would be fun to kick it in Austin with him
I missed him by a couple hours one night. The bartender said he was really cool, tipped the shite out of the entire staff, and left with more than one of the hottest chicks in the bar...
He left this on the wall... I figure anyone who was that cool to the staff, pulled tail like he does, and left something like this on the wall... must be an awesome guy to party with!

"I don't know how this conversation got here, but I would say that coming out as a homosexual to the world takes a little bit more courage then affirming your faith in the Lord"
I strongly disagree. "Coming out" as a Christian in an extremely public setting like during an Oscar speech is a risky career move. The mainstream media and especially Hollywood is far, far, far more tolerant of someone coming out as gay vs giving thanks to God and acknowledging their Christianity . MM risks being labeled a bigoted zealot while the other example will earn almost universal praise from Hollywood and the mainstream media. That's not to say it was a "risk" on MM's part because a Christian actor would never be offended by the idea of publically giving thanks and praise to God for an Oscar. It DOES however take some courage to "come out" so to speak in such a unfriendly environment though.

He was swimming naked in my grannies neighbors pool in the nude a couple years back.
I spoke with him for about 20 minutes. At this time I still partook and offered him but he respectfully declined.
After he put his clothes back on obviously. This was in Zachary.

Except he is not being labeled a bigot zealot and that environment is not Christian unfriendly like you are making it sound.

why do Christians always go on the defense so easily even when they aren't attacked? calm the frick down.

Wow. This is hilarious. I fully believe this because you said it was in Zachary. I'm family friends with the old couple who are basically his personal assistants. They live in Zachary and have a pool.
ETA: I received a shirtless autographed photo of him for my 8th grade graduation. True story

I like how people can't even read what I wrote there. I didn't say I thought he meant to come off as egocentric or that I thought he was being egocentric but... if you can't name anyone in the world that you admire (other than your potential self) that's going to be misunderstood by a certain number of people who see it as typical Hollywood narcissism
I think that impression was wiped away by the more religious veiwers because they were willing to give him a pass for anything after he invoked God

I got to walk him around our HS campus as a senior while he was shooting some special for the history channel, let him do some doughnuts in my jeep on our way out to where they were filming. he was really cool and laid back
