Bacchus riding at normal time. Just got an email on it.

Hope it's a good call. The trend is our friend today.

All morning parades are rolling floats only. No bands or marching krewes. Bacchus is going to hold their riders in the convention center til about 5 before departing.

That's too bad but probably the right call. Latest high res showing front through BR by 1 pm. Would translate to 1:30 to 4 pm storm window for New Orleans.

The current schedule would fit this timing scenario well.

Hi res models have a thin squall line moving through about 3-4 pm. This is the HRRR. NAM has it a little earlier, about 2-3pm.

Of course that will be accompanied by a sharp temperature drop.

If it’s not a big secret, what’s your Float #, side and position?

See above. Ours is 4 segments and I'm on the 3rd, neutral ground in the front.

Best possible scenario from the high res. Thin line in b/w 2-5 (I'd say 3 if I had to call it, just giving a range).

Wish we had full parades this morning but I get it with the size of Thoth. Bacchus out to be good parading though, but the neutral ground side is going to get a test of the arms.

That was a blur. Mardi Gras speed run.

ETA: mid level lift really getting going sitting here in Uptown. Few sprinkles gonna fall as that level continues to cool. 3 this afternoon still looks pretty good for squall line.
