Looks like details are pretty scarce. Anyone notice any big police presence in that area last night?

I don't know where that could be. How many of those shitholes have pools?

It's kind of strange two people drowned at the same time. You would think if it was alcohol related then one would be sober enough to swim to safety.

Why would you assume that one was sober enough to swim away?

I would think if anything, both would be drunk enough that one would drown trying to save the other.

Anyone know what apartment complex this happened at? Crazy that both of then drowned. I'm guessing one tried to save the other and they both ended up going under.

That's awful, but how would both people drown? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I guess that's the most plausible scenario.

Have you ever seen how someone reacts when they are literally about to drown? They start fighting and will easily take someone else with them. Its not pretty and if they were drunk it could easily happen.

Not as strange as the Asian woman who drowned in the rooftop water tank of an LA hotel a few years back.

Either that or one was found floating and the second tried to help, only to drown themself.

I remember that. It was one of my favorite "OT Mysteries".

It's not uncommon for a panicked victim to pull down a rescuer.

THIS. I'm a rescue diver and It was a strange thing to be trained to let a struggling panic driven diver alone, even to the point they start to drown and go limp...... You have better odds of recisitation of an unconscious diver than rescuing one that is fighting you and trying to climb on top if you. I'd bet dollars to donuts this is exactly what happened.
