Professors in academia have a reputation for arrogance & pomposity.

The biggie was merging with the main campus. The profs likes the autonomy/lack of oversight from the mothership.

There are a group of professors who fought his hiring (almost succeeded in getting him blocked) and have fought him the ENTIRE 8 years. They've finally beaten him down to a point where he wants to leave.

Jokes on LSU. Because LSU is wasteful he still gets the money as a chancellor to just teach now. Because at LSU once you become a dean or a chancellor you get the raise after giving it up

Was it Weiss or Costonis who tried to turn LSULaw into a kinder gentler school? Looks like both of them will be sucking up big salaries for less work now.

Weiss, mainly...and it was one of the biggest reasons the faculty fought him at every turn.
