If anyone wants shrimp go on FB and search shrimp for sale, find someone selling, put in an order and take a ride DTB and get some. I buy about 200lbs a year to cook at my house. My family loves shrimp and it's one of the cheapest, cleanest, proteins you can buy.

And you could add that your shrimp don’t have iodine because they were probably caught the night before. Inshore.

All of y’all that want some good shrimp follow Chedballz advice.

Make a trip to Lafourche/Terrebonne, buy some shrimp and stock your freezer. There is 50% waste with shrimp. 2lbs whole shrimp = 1 lb of delicious shrimp meat.

Let’s call it 6.00 a lb for meat. There is only one other thing I like to eat more than shrimp. Ask Bubba Blue how many ways you can prepare them.

There were some folks down Dularge selling beautiful shrimp yesterday and they would break the heads free.

Y’all come get some shrimp.

Take HWY 90 and stop anywhere between Delcambre, South on Hwy 14, Berwick or Morgan City docks if boats are in, if not try Dularge, Dulac or head down the bayou on Hwy 1

I just talked to my seafood lady. Trudy Luke in Dulac. Across from fisherman’s retreat. They are catching them in Bayou Grand Caillou in front of their dock. Fresh.

They also make some fine soft shell crabs. You will have to take Hwy 90.

How much do you want ? She will deliver to me. I’m a skip and a hop from the Hwy 90/ 182 overpass. I’ll rendezvous with you under the overpass if you want.

Small government, except when it effects them

What you fail to realize is that the government is largely responsible for this mess.

Every company in the USA has regulations, laws, insurance, etc, etc.

What do you think a day laborer in India or Ecuador gets paid? Meanwhile we have places like California making fast food restaurants pay their employees $20 to start. That is probably more than a person in India makes in a week.

An employee gets hurt or killed at the plant? Here’s $1000 bucks to bury them and feed the family for a bit.

It’s not the shrimpers and it’s not the processors in the wrong here, the government screwed them and allows foreign companies dump product here because we have the money and the mouths. We don’t even have the ability to inspect it properly.

Shrimpers say at the start of last season the biggest shrimp were fetching $4 a pound. Now the local guys say for the same size shrimp they're only getting $.80 a pound.

I'll take 100 lbs of .80 "biggest" shrimp.
