The high death rates in other countries is what's horrible. I don't get the discrepancy, ours are lower.

It could be because more people have it then they think and that causes the number to be higher.

Or, it could be that as much as everyone tries to kick the shite out of our healthcare - it's actually better than anywhere else in the world.

We would have to have almost 100 deaths tomorrow to continue the "deaths double every day trend"

half the deaths as yesterday is positive, no?

That was the biggest number to watch. That spike in deaths yesterday was pretty crazy.
Just have to look at these things in "time frames" because there's so many variables when it comes to these single day numbers

So we have doubled the deaths in just two days.

Just curious. Did you even make it out the 3rd grade?

You’re comparing a country with a population of over 60 million to a state with over 4 million. Think about it.

I'd love to see that reported. I'd feel better if someone smarter then me said that the peak is over.

That doesn’t seem like horrible numbers to me, especially in this stage of the process. And knowing the vast majority of deaths are extremely elderly. Am I wrong?

The most important numbers to track in real-time are the number of hospitalizations and people on ventilators. When those get too high, unless more resources are secured, there is the potential for a significant increase in deaths.

All of the growth is about the same from day to day. We are not in the worst case scenario where growth is exponential. In another week or so growth might start to dip a bit. If testing gets faster, we can probably test and trace by the end of the month.

You have to wonder how much all this testing is spreading it. If you have mild symptoms just stay home no sense confirming with a test.

I’ve read that many people have/are exhibiting symptoms but weren’t getting tested because they didn’t check all of the boxes, but that is finally starting to change this week. Maybe I’m missing it, but it sure does seem like a large number of people who are exhibiting signs of some sort of illness/sickness in order to get the doctors script to get tested who end up NOT having Co-Vid. If they don’t have co vid and not the flu, do we really have that many people running around at this time of year with sore throats, diarrhea, fever, chills, headaches and whatever other symptom is associated with CV? If it’s not CV, what do all of these people have?
