No, just that some a-hole named Dilbert or Delbert in a yellow H2 was the salesman. He had a gold chain with one of those Italian horn pendants on it.

The windows were absolute shite, and nobody stood behind them. I just sucked it up and paid for new ones over the first few years I lived there.

If you are considering Cretin Homes, then also consider Townsend Homes.

Townsend is located on Hammond and their office is around the bend on the service road that Cretin is located. Theresa is a sales rep and is very sweet. Joe T,,
Don and their construction managers are very accommodating.

And also realize that this is The OT, if you don't have the remains of A. Hayes Town rise up from the grave to build your house then it will be just another spec piece of shite.

Second this. Joe T did a nice job on my office build 4 years ago.

Thanks for the helpful suggestions. Going to start looking at them.

Does Townsend allow for structural changes to their designs? One thing we like about cretin is we could add rooms or change walls if we want. We are ok with a "spec" house if that's what it is called. We just don't want a neighborhood full of identical houses that we can change more than paint color.

but you haven't found a lot yet?

they can go hand in hand, but the builder you choose isn't going to dictate what your neighbor's houses look like... but you know that.

You know the 3 most important things in real estate, huh? (it's close, but it's not The Builder isn't in the top 3)

Yes he does. Like Cretin, he works from several sets of plans that can be customized to your liking.

If Jim Fussell isn't in jail he might give you a deal on a custom home.

Tell Eddie Cretin I said hello.

Why anyone would use wood windows in south Louisiana baffles me.

They are a never-ending maintenace nightmare.

You should direct that question to Charlie Cole.

Tell that to every upper end subdivision in this area. They all require a wood window. In the last couple years they have allowed a clad windows to be used.

I have wood frame windows and I will be replacing all of them over the next couple of years. Not what I was looking forward to spending money on, but we aren't going anywhere.

Do a wood clad window. Clad on the exterior and wood in the inside. You still get the look and value without the maintenance.

You used wood windows. Of course you have to replace them in ten years (common sense). Not his fault you thought wood was the best. You vinyl next time douche

Apparently you have never built an upscale neighborhood home which almost exclusively requires all wood windows.

Dumbass. And a poor one at that.

Just sold mine in south BR for over 500k. You don't have to use wood. Just clad for front elevation. I know a few things about building a house.
