Japanese-built with the exception of Mazda or Nissan.

Find something relatively low mileage (average 10-15k/year) but however old enough to fit your budget.

Bought mine a certified 2013 Tiguan with 65k miles on it. We haven’t any issues at all.

Sister currently drives one. Leaks like a Tennessee insider and the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree. Stay away.
