After drinking hot coffee on a regular basis for years, I recently started drinking iced coffee. It tastes much better, can be consumed at a quicker rate, is more refreshing, etc. Not sure why it took me so long to make the switch, but anyways, now that I've made the switch, I'm finding it tough to continue spending so much each day on coffee. Also, I'm finding it tough to go back to hot coffee.

Any suggestions? Anyone have experience brewing their own iced coffee?

Also, why does Starbucks iced coffee suck compared to local coffee shops?

Thanks in advance...

I've had the toddy And a press. I don't like the mess

I buy the Starbucks big bottles by the milk. Either the plain coffee one or iced caramel macchiato

the key to not having watered down ice coffee is to make "ice cubes" out of coffee

dude it's so simple to make.

Coffee, ice, sugar, milk.

Get you an airtight jug, brew a pot at night, put it in the fridge so the coffee is nice and chilled in the a.m. Put your other ingredients in to your taste, shake it up, drink it up.

Cool Brew is great. It is a New Orleans product and you can find it at a variety of stores...sams carries it and so does Alexander's Market.

All you have to do is add water. They claim the process they use to make the concentrate takes away the bitterness and I'd have to agree.

You can also use it to make hot coffee...I use an electric kettle at home or the hot water spout of the coffee machine at work. But literally all you have to do is add water.
