They passed a similar bill in Georgia about 10 years ago and it never gets enforced. The police don't give a rats arse if you do or not.

Why not being ok for the govt potentially banning people breathing in smoke they dont want to?
because it's a private business and no one is forced to go in there

I support that idea. Nothing worse than smelling like a damned cigarette.

I just wish people would stop being stupid and stop smoking, so there doesn't have to a bill like this.
People doing stupid things that harm others require stupid laws.

Yes they will when it means their liquor license will be revoked

I'm one of the biggest haters of smoking you will ever meet but this is not an issue for gov't to get involved in. It violates private property rights and further underscores the nanny state coddling people who have their delicate sensibilities offended.
I assume that small gov't conservatives are in support of such legislation proposed by this councilwoman in this thread?

The bar ban will probably pass (with possible exceptions/special permits). I don't think the casino ban will pass.

There are many laws that are forced upon private businesses. Murder, stealing, etc are not allowed in private businesses. I am not comparing smoking to those things but smoking does affect others negatively. I dont think it is necessarily that big of a big brother govt leap to ban it
Holy shite.
The ignorance in this terrible analogy is frightening.

eventually all bars will be smoke free and their sales will decline more and more
got to love the "small gov conservatives"
