Sorry Mitch. The last are NOT gonna happen. The line has been drawn
Unfortunately, yes they are. Unless Trump saves them, and he wont, the army of cops that Mitch had at the Davis removal will ensure that the last two come down.

I know it's a horrible thing to say, but if the pillar on which Lee stands falls over and crushes some people, I'll probably think it's a little funny.

You want me to search for a link about how the previous two Mayors had been petitioned to take it down?

I think Nagin said something like "I have bigger issues right now"

And he was right. He was taking about the crime, crumbling infrastructure, 3rd world nature of the city. The same problems Landrieu is ignoring.

Okay, very few people gave a shite, and there certainly was no serious movement for removal.

I was born and lived there for years and what amounts to "nobody" gave a shite.

Mitch the Bitch better just move to another town after his term is over, unless he want to pay for a private security detail for the rest of his life. His city goon protectors only come with the job. He doesn't get to take them with him.

So your need for proof had no chance of swaying your opinion. You just felt the need to argue a lost cause.

No one in this city will give two fricks about this in 3 years. You'll here "ain't Der No more" when it comes up and people will move on

This makes no logical sense. If those four statues were abhorrent due to slavery/oppression/confederacy, then what about all the other things in the city? If that's his reasoning for those four, then that same reasoning must apply to every building and street in the city. If anything with a civil war connection must come down, then everything with a civil war connection must come down.

That's what I've been saying. Mitch doesn't get to make the rules and decides what's offensive and what's not. It's time to spread awareness around the nation about the other Confederate symbols in public places in New Orleans.
