What is wrong with all you people? Somebody just needs to put an alligator in the lake. Dog and nutria problem solved. It is not that freaking complicated.

Guessing it had died in a dog fight?

That's what you should have lead with when you called the police in the first place. Busting a dog fighting ring would have given the police some much needed good press.

It was what I lead with. They still said call animal control, who said they won't do anything because the dog was already dead.

Was recommended by another poster to possibly gain attention by any type of media outlet.

If it has a collar on, maybe it somehow drowned. I can't see someone tossing a dead dog in a lake with a collar

Damn I lived in that complex like 9 years ago before I hot married.

Sounds like it went to shite. It was nice when I lived there but overpriced. Think it was 800 a month for a tiny as's 1 br back then.

They did have the ugly duck shite on the pier then too though.

Honestly, I'm very surprised by that. I thought they would be more responsive. That's crazy.

That looks more like a beaver chewing on them trees than nutria. I don't doubt you have nutria in the lake, but it seems you also have beavers

Send an email to the news stations explaining the situation and how Ledic or whoever the management company is now won't respond. It'll get removed quickly.

The vermin that fight dogs have begun to dispose of their discarded fighters and bait dogs in water because it may hide the evidence of dog fighting. A fighting dog shot through the head and left for dead in a garbage dump or wilderness area, if found, will look like a fighting dog: ears cut to the scalp; no tail, bites, tears and scars etc.
By discarding the dogs in water, the pieces of shite that fight them hope that something eats the carcass or decomposition is rapid thus masking the evidence of their heinous crimes.
They should all rot in hell.

ETA this probably isn't the situation with this dog - an apartment complex lake is too public. The people that did this likely live in your complex. They have no place to bury their dead dog and are too trashy to pay a vet to dispose of the remains.

Do not try and do it yourself. I scooped up a dead goose that was in the street in front of my house and it was just fricking awful, it was only dead a couple of days and when I tried to shovel it up it feel all apart.

Gtfo of that place asap with this and the fact they take section 8

I would try to get the bag by the backend and shake the dog out. He'll sink in a couple days after he swells up and cracks. Then the fish can feast on the maggots and tenderized flesh. It's actually good for the lake ecosystem.

That's a chupacabra bro. It's not dead, it's just floating for its next kill.
