As shocking as this story may sound, if you had lived here as long as we have, you would understand it is really not so surprising given Lakeside Villa's trending history of indifference. This dog carcass episode is just icing on the trashy cake.

As a community committed to ensuring our residents feel happy, comfortable and safe in their apartment homes, this is not a reflection of the level of service we aim to provide at Lakeside Villas. We are coordinating with our staff and have a company on the way to properly take care of the dog’s body.
As a community that not only seeks to provide inviting apartments to our residents but also a happy home to their pets, we are saddened that something like this happened to a companion animal on our property. In addition to safely recovering the dog’s body, we are working to provide proper burial and seeking information on the dog’s owner. We will also make a donation to the Capital Area Welfare Society to help provide care for area pets and inform members of the community about responsible companion animal ownership.
Whether you’re a resident of our community, a pet lover, or just a respectful human being, this is a disappointing situation. One that we are taking seriously and working to ensure that issues of this magnitude – as well as more simple, everyday requests – are handled quickly and thoroughly.
Message board threads don’t always end with solutions to a problem, but in this case, we’re glad we were able to find out about these issues and react accordingly. We don’t shy away from constructive criticism and will use the feedback to inform our management at the property moving forward.

How about stop contributing to the decline of this city and stop taking Section 8?

Call the local TV news and the mayors office. Also call the PETA and SPCA folks. You'll have people protesting in your parking lots in an hour.

Exactly.
They didn't give two fricks when the guy was going through the proper channels but now they want to act like they care now that they're getting blasted for their shitty customer service.
I hope that complex gets what they deserve. If they can't figure out how to fish a dead dog out of their own backyard lake, they obviously won't be able to run an apartment complex.
I'll make a less than bold prediction:
They'll step it up and act like they care for the next two weeks then they'll go back to being shitty as usual. Bookmark it.

I love some PR speak. How many paragraphs were written to say what, nothing? They could have waited on that post for an hour while they hurry a dude out there got the dog. Instead they use that time to post a PR letter on a anonymous message board. #Priorities.

This can't be real. If so, you guys are shite. You don't give a frick about your residents. If so, you guys are only interested in collecting rent. If so, you guys should all be fired. If this account is not an alter, you guys should be ashamed of yourself.

They're section 8 now. They don't give a flying frick about the renters now. They have guarendamnteed checks coming in from uncle Sam. They "took the money and run"

I'd also wager there is a gal in the office who thinks herself mighty clever with the written word who is very proud of her damage mitigating post.

Yeah, that's a good point.
If they run off the tenants that pay out of their own pocket, it just frees up units for more guaranteed money.
Congratulations on becoming future slum lords, Lakeside! It looks like you're well on your way!

I'm sure the OP will be satisfied with that CAWS donation though, that should make up for it

I think that's where I used to live when I was stationed there. Off of Millerville?

Is it really possible to claim this while also accepted section 8 tenants?
