That really sucks. He was from my hometown. I dated his step sister for a while. He was a helluva nice guy. Here's to hoping for a miracle.

Unfortunately, the divers are unable to remove the 2 pilots from the fuselage.
Crane barge is either on site or headed to the area.

Medical examiner has identified 9 remains - 2 remaining in the craft. Best guess it nosed in shallow water and the pilots are still in. Crewchiefs and pax have been recovered - IMHO.
Similar thing happened in Mogadishu - the (deceased) pilots had to be cut out of the wreckage.

One of the news articles I read today said it was found in ~25' of water and the pilots could not be removed by divers. A salvage barge was contracted from a company in Mobile to lift the fuselage out of the water. May happened this afternoon or in the morning, depending of weather conditions.

Man I just found out that one of the pilots was a friend of mine husband. Sad to hear this, he was a good guy. I feel so bad for her and the kids.
