An elementary school teacher had wine in her classroom and reportedly displayed odd behavior during car rider pickup duty, a sheriff's office said.

Shannon R. Beran, 43, of Deville, faces a charge of possession of alcohol on public school property, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office.

When confronted and asked about her condition, she stated she wanted to leave and became defensive, the sheriff's office said.

A partially consumed bag of wine was found in her classroom, officials said.

She was released on a $500 bond.

We had a coach in Jr high that used to keep a bottle of whiskey in his desk. A student pinched him on st Patty's day for not wearing green, and the coach slammed him up against the wall and choked him afterwards. This man later became the principal, lol.

If I was a public school teacher in Ellic, I’d probably get hammered on boxed wine too.

Amateur hour with the wine.

You should stick with a margarita in a Sonic cup and say it's a Limeaide.

Man in middle school my louisiana history teacher was always hammered. Hiding behind his newspaper and getting sloshed before noon.
