KHOU Video and Article

quote:

KINGWOOD, Texas - A local family says a CenterPoint Energy contract worker beat their dogs with a a pair of channel locks at their home.

The incident was captured on the family’s home surveillance video and after it was posted online, has gone viral.

The video, which homeowner Mike Willcox posted to Facebook on Sunday morning, had racked up more than 400,000 views as of 11 p.m. Sunday.

“Right in here where he got hit with the wrench, almost got his eye,” said Willcox, describing some of the injuries on Flash, his 8-year-old Weimaraner bird dog.

A swollen jaw, concussion, and at least $2,000 in vet bills, including a scheduled surgery on Friday, are just some of the impacts the dogs are still recovering from.

The second dog, Shutter, is also an 8-year-old Weimaraner.

“Never bitten anybody, very friendly,” said Willcox, of the dogs. “It was like the guy was swinging to kill.”

This is after the wife asked the Centerpoint employee if he would like her to put the dogs up while he did his job. He told her no. Even short captures in the video, the dogs don't appear menacing or threatening to his well-being. WTF is wrong with this dude? Crazy part is the husband is at home the whole time is all taking place.

a) How does a stranger make his way to your backyard without you confronting him first?
b) you let your wife confront him first?

No way he leaves my property not in an ambulance.

At some homes, Centerpoint guy would have met a Hollowpoint.

People shouldnt ask if the visitor wants the dog put away.

They should just do it to avoid this situation all together.

But people like the OP and these dog owners know what their dog feels.

Just tie the mutt up or put it inside. not that hard

A) Those dogs aren't threatening him.
B) They did ask him. He said no.
C) Even if the dogs are threatening him, you don't pull out a pipe wrench and take a swing. You leave the area until the dogs are inside.

point invalid.

those dogs are lucky they weren't hit with a pipe wrench as it says in the OP and the article.

I don't hate dogs I hate stupid people that should just use common sense.

They should have just brought the dogs inside anyway.

Just some damn channel locks. Pipe wrench would have crushed a skull or two.

Put the dogs inside. Dogs are threatening to some people even though you think they are just being friendly.

Guy should have let her put them up if he is scared of dogs.

Everyone in this story is dumb.

While I agree, I'd of pulled them inside for insurance purposes alone. This guy took it to another level swinging channel locks at them for no apparent reason. Now the owners will sue and win against Centerpoint. Which is a shite energy company to begin with. It's a very conflicting story. I want all parties to lose, minus the dogs.
