Kids don't know the struggle, that was portable music before mp3 and streaming

Rather it was sitting by the radio every night waiting for hrs for that new song to come on so i could hit record to complete my perfect mix tape. Only to have to wait to rewind it each time then the walkman eat it while one the way to vacation. This is how it started...

ahh napster.. nothing like having dialup and downloading the song before bed only to wake up the next morning to see it still hasnt finished or failed

shite...I was so damn happy when I finally got a Walkman. Before that, I was bringing this on field trips in the early 80's...
Complete with my old man white one earpiece headphone and a bag of tapes...
I do sometimes marvel at my phone today. It not only can access the entire word's collected knowledge via the internet, but hold a vast array of movies and photos AND my entire music collection that I struggled to have even a tiny bit of with me when I as a kid.

i remember my sister and b-i-l law having a vcr with a wired remote. frickin thing had like a 6ft wire but the couch was 15 feet away.
