Is there not another league or team for him to get on?

Probably combining teams. My son’s 12, and we’re in our last travel ball 1/2 season. Consider yourself lucky, it’s nausesting.

If you let your kid play Rec ball until he is 12, he will be so far behind the other kids that played tournament ball, he wouldn’t even make the first cut.

As someone who played travel ball from about 9 till HS, don't do it. They will get burned out and don't want to play.
Let them have fun until HS or 7th grade.

Looking at who was playing in the tournament this weekend and assuming your kid was 11AAA...I know who it is and not surprised they are doing it.
