Jet blue's main hub is jfk and I think MSY is their main southern hub

Their southern hub would be Fort Lauderdale (FLL). The one time I flew them I enjoyed what they had to offer. But this week after they caved in to wall street and will start charging for the first checked bag AND reducing legroom, there's no real differentiation between them and United, Delta, US, American, etc. All the airlines have their own issues, but jetblue's corporate greed will have it's toll eventually if I had to guess.

True IMO.

I've paid an extra $200-$250 to fly Jet Blue over Spirit this year and an extra $100 for them over American.

Seats are wider, there is more leg room, more tv entertainment options, just a more comfortable enjoyable flight with them. The flights I'm talking about are 5 hour direct cross country flights, so paying extra is worth it to me.

I like them, my preferred airline if possible. I like the direct flights they offer out of New Orleans and the TV on the back of each seat is nice, makes the time fly by.

Virgin America for domestic hands down. My Jet Blue experience was pretty shitty.

United should be forced to break out Continental again. Continental was pretty good. United has always sucked my balls.

Southwest is great for regional traveling.

I've got gold with them and agree. All of my flights with AA/US recently have been early/on time, <500 mile upgrades 100% successful on MSY-DFW and TPA-MIA, and my checked bag has arrived every flight. Not much more I can ask of them, maybe some better reservation agents when calling in...

I'll stick with Delta. One of my really good friends is a Flight Attendant and I've never had issues flying with them.

frick AA.

You take a flight on a non US airline and you will get some meal. I booked an hour and half flight from Lima to Cusco and they serve a meal. And you can bet the FAs are working the cabin the entire flight.

I flew Lima-Cuzco on LAN. One of the best airlines ever. Real utensils, real food, and smoking hot FAs.

Airbus problem isn't the quality of the plane itself - it's in the design of their autopilot system

Maybe the problem is just that Delta likes to route all it's A319/320s through Detroit from New Orleans?

MSY-DTW is an MD88 or 90 more than it is airbus. But as those planes get older Delta will be replacing them with Airbuses which sucks.

I remember flying an A319 4 years ago on the route and noticed on flightaware this past winter it was the same, guess for the spring/summer it's an upgrade to the maddog? I love the MD80/88/90 on American or Delta as long as you're not in the very back. I get a 90 on ATL-PVD in early september
