it was named for a reason, as was the clock tower, this isn't the NFL(even though some moneybag types are putting their name around TS )

I'm about as pro-Southern history as you can get, and I still think it would make sense to honor him since he does have a connection to the school and all. It's been 150 years people.

The king was a trader to his people

Known fact

frick SHERMAN.
He's been burning in hell for generations for what he did to innocent people during the civil war.
frick him. He and Lincoln should've both been executed in the public square after being dressed down as the war criminals they are.
Best thing that ever crossed Lincoln's mind was a bullet and by god it did happen.

Sherman fricked shite up and was a badass whether you like it or not
Raping innocent women, burning innocent people's homes down and imprisoning and/or killing them is not being a badass.
It's being an evil thug piece of shite.
Go frick yourself.

Sherman raped innocent women?

I support it. I'm also hugely opposed to removing the Confederate Statues in New Orleans.
The Liberty Place "monument" can be removed, but I'd prefer to simply make it a practice to call it an "historical marker".
Sherman was a formidable foe to the South. He engaged in total warfare in an effort to bring the war to a quicker end. Was the March to the Sea much different than the fire bombing of Dresden, or the nuclear attack on Hiroshima or Nagasaki?
He was also the founding President of LSU. There absolutely should be something named after him at LSU.

So they could have been justified, but because they lost they weren't?

The generations of Irish rebelling against the crown only became revolutionaries in 1916, amirite?
Before that they were just traitors.
