They have put ALOT into the make recently. The first generation Genesis was a huge upgrade on the older Hyundai products and the 2nd generation even takes another step.

Motor trend did an article on this a while back. I think they preferred the Infiniti.

I would never buy a car that at one point offered a buy one get one for a dollar sale. Hyundai is crap
You might want to do a little more research on the current state of the company. They put out a very competitive product now.

They preferred the Lexus. The Q50S outperformed sliiiightly on the tracks, but on real road, they hands down liked the Lexus better.
I actaully like the new grills on the Lexus. When you see them in person with the wheels and the upgraded bumper, it looks tight.

Easy....I don't like the way Infinitys drive over 100mph, and the Lexus is much more stable. Lexus wins

Well, if you like the way the Lexus looks and it out performs the Infiniti, what's there to question?

Just curious what others think. I like the way they both look and I was just saying that the Motor Trend article liked the Lexus. I can't really decide.

Well, at least they are making it right. Once again, their actual product has come along way. I'm not saying they are going to supplant Honda or Toyota, but they certainly give you a lot more bang for your buck . Throw that in with a 10 year/100K mi warranty, and I think many of their cars are really enticing.

FWIW, this has also happened to Ford.

The normal Q50s doesn't look anywhere near that good (not lowered and on rims). Infiniti has became a brand for moms, while Lexus is going in the opposite direction.
Most reviews say how the Infiniti is soft now and doesn't have the handling edge of the old G series. However, if the handling isn't that important, you should consider the size of the vehicle. The IS is smaller and has much less usable back seat.

I'd give the nod to the infiniti. I'm just not a fan of the IS. That Hyundai isn't bad, but I don't know if I could ever fork over $40,000 for a Hyundai.
