I agree 100%. Who do you think greets me at the door everytime I get home from work. Her whole body wags and that happy face is always on. My little hairy daughter loves her daddy.

Had a Jack Russell for 10 years. I grew up w/ outside dogs only. Wife wanted an inside dog, I said "no way." Dog stayed inside. (Wife/dog -1, me-0). "No way is he allowed on the bed." Dog started getting on the bed. (Wife/dog -2, me -0). "No way is he EVER getting under the covers" (Dog-3, me-0). Didn't take long b/f the wife got mad b/c I'm now spooning the dog instead of her. (Me/dog-1, wife-0)

Had to put him down the day b/f Valentines Day 2016, which was one day short of 10 years to the day we got him. Frick lung cancer.

My dog pretty much has the run of things in the living room and one guest bedroom... He's a pussy, so when it's bad weather he cries until we let him get in bed with us.

Other than that, he may take a nap or something with my wife, but that's about the only time he gets in our bed. Usually he'll lay there for half an hour or so, and then he wants to get up and go explore the rest of the house or go run around outside.

His favorite thing to do is patrol the back yard and lay on the back porch and wait for birds and squirrels to terrorize.

The Frenchie gets full run of the house. Sticks to the sofa mostly though. I have one other dog that stays inside at night, but she has a dog bed.
Shes not allowed on the furniture.

The FBD can do anything she wants.

Couch no

Bed Yes as long as her blanket is covering the bedding. She is a German Shepherd so trying to keep the hair to a minimum is basically a futile effort.

My lab pup has a mat on the couch for his spot and sleeps on our bed at night. He thinks he's human and behaves well. The older lab stays on the floor since he's so big.

Our lab mix loves our bed in the cooler months.

When temps start heating up he is on the floor by our bed on this..

You fill it up with water and it stays really cool for the dog to lay on. It has some foam thing inside that soaks up the water and keeps the pad cool to touch. Our dogs both have one and they love them.

She's become a part of the family m. She sleeps on the couch, her dog bed, the bottom of our bed, and has kept me company when the wife ignores me when I watch LSU lose to Wisconsin and get black out drunk.

She's a part of the family. She has as much right to my couch as I do.
