If you are worried about strength levels then see if he would enjoy a plyometric routine.

But if he's the tall kid in his class and he's getting pushed around it's probably not a strength issue. It's probably and aggressiveness issue

remember being told too much soy was bad when I was that young.

Not to get all serious, but I thought that was true. Soy is pretty terrible for men at any age, right?

I let my 6 and 4 year old drink protein shakes. I can't get them to eat anything besides sugar. I am betting that what ever is in them is better than candy and cookies all day.

Amen. My metabolism didn't slow until I was in my mid 20s. Couldn't put on weight no matter how hard I tried. Now I get heavier thinking about food.

Just give the boy healthy food and if he wants to exercise let him do bodyweight exercises.

This sentence is what's wrong with our kids today. They are so screwed.
He is 10! Not one kid has hit puberty yet. The biggest fastest kid at 10 is usually not at 16. No one should care this much at 10

It's just not his game...but he knows when they start to let them head the ball it needs to be. They played a tournament last weekend that allowed it and he got a great header goal. He's got the fever. They played up an age bracket for two games and he couldn't get close again.

My oldest has been drinking some fatty protein drink approved by the pediatrician.. he is 90% height but only 17% weight.. he needs the extra calories because he's extremely active and we'd like to get him up near 30-40 percentile in weight..

My boy shouldn't care?

I'm a bad father for doing, albeit not the best, some research to help him out? I'll buy chocolate Ensure...no big deal.

No doubt his body will change, that's understood.
