Very true statement, I work for SSA and I see this all the time. Absolutely ridiculous how much money is wasted on ADHD claims.

Is auto insurance the same as homeowners in that one needs to have a policy specifically for flood damage, or if one had full coverage on their auto wouldn't it be covered? I understand the many that may have not carried home flood insurance, but auto, unless it was paid for and you just had liability or you're a piece of crap that drives a vehicle uninsured, why should FEMA be buying you a new car anyway?

I never understood why kids get disability payments anyways. It isn't like a 7 year old is replacing lost income. Had a friend who got disability for her 11 year old. He was a little slow mentally, but otherwise he was fine. His healthcare was 100% covered through Medicaid, so she faced no extra expenses due to his disability. I understand people who have to take off work to take care of their kids, but for mild disabilities that really isn't the case. Several of these kids go to school just fine. ADHD should not be a reason for parents to milk the system or get extra money. The Adderall is free through Medicaid so there is no extra expense for the family.

Sure it's fundamentally dishonest. But what part of American life isn't anymore? The entire system is a shitshow. I have no expectation that anybody will be virtuous, particularly Democratic politicians. They basically view their mission as fleecing taxpayers, we all know that.It's like being mad at your dog because it licks it's balls. That's what dogs do.

well, she popped back up. after her telling me that i could post any views that i wanted to facebook -- i told her that i agreed that i could but was telling her that i was disappointed that a government official would encourage fraudulent answers that will illegally obtain tax dollars. i also noted that i hope to see her spending her time and energy advocating for a change to the law if she thinks its egregious enough to encourage that behavior.
