They raised taxes to really improve it like 8 years ago and haven't done shite yet. They have had so many companies bid to develop it only to back out later that it's laughable at this point. Just pure incompetence by the city council and meanwhile they took like $180 million or something crazy from the citizens.

yeah notice i didn't bring up the public bullshite improvements (other than the bus depot)

:sigh:

The "boom" here is going to be so mismanaged.

I'm not from the area. Is it a popular place?

It's one of the oldest established bars on the Main Street of Lake Charles (Ryan St).

I just googled it and it said it's a deli. I've never noticed it. Now I feel obligated to go.

How do you live in Lake Charles and not at least see the ugly green building that is Pappy's.

The old Crab Palace in LC was the real deal. Think it might be Seafood Palace now. Was located in a crappy, old strip mall on Enterprise.

Is it right across from that shopping center that Books A Million is in? By some weird costume looking place.

Is 210 always quicker. I took it the last two times because Waze told me too. I had always taken I-10 numerous times in passing through. 210 seems like it's far out the way, since it's a loop.

The amount of dump trucks on OST is insane. The more they clear the land they're building all of this on, the more I realize just how enormous this project will be.

There's absolutely no way these knucklehead morons in this area can plan for the lack of infrastructure here. It's going to be so bad.

The I10 bridge is so high because when it was built in the 30s, they built it where ships can pass underneath.
