My buddy moved there from Moss Bluff to take over a State Farm. His wife's family is from DeRidder so I have no idea why they don't stay there.

Yeah, most the Fort Polk upper brass live in Deridder too. If you are settling down somewhere, Leesville has to be one of the worst choices within a hundred mile radius.

While this area may not be my ideal place to live, the people have been very nice and the school my son has been attending has been very good.

When I was selling Real Estate there 10 years ago that's how it always was. Anyone with a decent housing allowance stayed in Rosepine or DeRidder.

Been here 2 years already. My company will be here till '19 or so.
Been working 6/7 days a week and burnt out. Gonna hunt and fish and build my house this summer. Probably take a year off and do some consulting stuff from home.

Been out there a few months. Its cut throat out there. Haters put shite in peoples fuel tanks. Bout to say frick it and head back east. The money is there but its hard to chase.
