Just left this place picking up to go and saw 3 guys all eating alone at separate tables. Anybody do this?

If I'm out of town for work or something and eating solo, I usually try to eat at the bar if there is one.

I always feel bad for those people, honestly I'd rather starve.

Scruffy does it on occasion. When he has a day off, he goes and gets breakfast by himself at a diner in town.

Sit at the bar, get a coffee, eggs, grits, and bacon while reading the news.

I don't think there's anything weird about it.

Sorry to hear that. If I see someone eating alone I'll usually walk by and tell them that things will get better or something encouraging. Do you people find that helpful?

Yes. Probably a serial killer convention at that restaurant

I enjoy doing it. People assume those folks are lonely or whatever, but in my experience that's rarely the case. Sometimes I just want to go out on my own and eat a good meal in peace and quiet, with my own thoughts, and not have to worry about keeping up a convo with the people around me. It's refreshing from time to time.
