Don't think I've had a "birthday" party since the early teens. For about a decade now it's been go eat some mexican food with the family and close friends.

That's weird. Really weird.
My birthday is the end of August so I'm usually celebrating with football.

Never had a birthday party, even as a kid.

After twenty one you should never celebrate or even mention your birthday. Hell, unless you're applying for a loan or buying booze, you shouldn't ever say it out loud.

Look dick, if you're too cool for bounce houses and balloon animals then consider yourself uninvited from my party.

I have a 34 year old friend that has a weekend long party at his lake house every year for his birthday. It's awesome and I hope he never stops

Getting together at someones house for drinks and having a cake isn't weird. Having a party with gifts and such is a little out there.

I'm picturing a 33 year old doing this

Thank you!!!! These "gender reveal parties" are just one more way to make people buy you more gifts. The whole wedding industry is completely outta hand as well. Engagement photos,Engagement parties, Wedding showers, wedding gifts, blah blah blah...it's all a scam

Agreed....

But you do rack up if the parties are for you.

Our group of friends throws a beer and diaper party for anyone expecting a child. Our son is 5 months old and we still haven't bought diapers yet.

I think it's weird when adults go out drinking and celebrate birthdays like they just turned 21.

I have a birthday party every year. I rent a 30 ft above ground slip and slide every year, and I keep it for the weekend for the kids to enjoy. I don't ask for presents, I just ask that people bring an ingredient for Jungle Juice so that we can all get buzzed and have a good time.

ppl who continue to have birthdays for themselves well into adulthood tend to be very narcissistic

Not at all.

My Father just turned 77. He celebrates his birthday every year.

I'm 52 and I visit my parents every year on my birthday.

You are correct.

My parents and my birthday we celebrate with some wine, food and good conversation.

Good times.
