Got a plan for the future/career? Do you exercise? Drink a lot? Do drugs? Do you have not want to get out of bed in the morning? If you answer yes to any of these, try to address them. Good luck bro.

I'm losing interest in my fraternity (which is where I am living), I feel isolated, I am a little homesick, I'm having major trouble eating/sleeping, and I just don't feel the same passion for the school that I did when I left last year.

I'm thinking there is an underlying cause here. Think about what's going on in your life. Is something affecting you? It may not be easy to spot.

And yeah, I was feeling down at the beginning of last year too and things worked out well, but this year just feels different. Any advice for me?

Hey, I'm right there with you. I got married and moved into a new house over the summer. My parents' house flooded in the storms, as did most of my friends and family members. It has been extremely hard to focus on school. If you ever need someone to talk to, email me at bryndenblackfish@yahoo.com

I've been around the LSU community for the better part of a decade and have gone through many life changes, emotional struggles, what-have you. I hope the advice you get in this thread helps.

You're living a dream and don't even know it. You'll be out of school one day working and wishing you could go back. Stop being a fricking pussy.

Only drink alcohol on Fridays and Saturdays. No exceptions!

Very bad advice. If you're not partying on Thursdays in college, you ain't living.

Last year was great, but I was in a different living situation last year and it just felt different at this time last year than it does this year. I don't know, I'm just feeling out of it this year, almost as if I am in a daze, going through the motions.

Dude, you've been there for 2 fricking weeks. Try living in a slum on the Mexican border for a semester and then get back to me. It's not going to get any better than it is for you now. Trust me on this.
