That's called life, my man. Get used to it.
Huh, maybe the OT was wrong. Turns out college does prepare you for the real world.

You need a rutbuster. A nice young lady to spend the evening with who will make you remember that life is beautiful and worth living.
I also sell shotguns if you'd prefer to go that route.

Any advice for me?
College is a wonderful time in your youth where you're about as close to being invincible as you'll ever be. Minimal input of work and maximum output of fun. You need to embrace the wonderful, responsibility-free time of life you're currently living in.
Stop complaining and be happy you're able to be in college at all.
Pussy.

I'm thinking there is an underlying cause here. Think about what's going on in your life. Is something affecting you? It may not be easy to spot.
I have some ideas about what could be the underlying causes for me...

I appreciate the offer, but I am not in Baton Rouge.

Hey, I'm right there with you. I got married and moved into a new house over the summer. My parents' house flooded in the storms, as did most of my friends and family members. It has been extremely hard to focus on school. If you ever need someone to talk to, email me at bryndenblackfish@yahoo.com
I've been around the LSU community for the better part of a decade and have gone through many life changes, emotional struggles, what-have you. I hope the advice you get in this thread helps.
I appreciate all of your advice, but I am not an LSU student. I think a lot of what you said can be transferred to where I go to college, though. I am so sorry to hear that most of your friends and parents + other family members' houses flooded. Y'all are very strong people for working through these tough times. I wish you the best of luck, and I really appreciate your advice, and even giving your email so I could email you if I wanted to!

It's nothing, man. That's my email I especially made for giving out on TD
Hey, if you don't mind me asking, where are you going to school?

I'd prefer not to give out any personal information, but I will say that I grew up in southeastern Louisiana, but am going to college out-of-state.

You either work, or you go to school. When you grow up, you'll wish school was more important in your laundry list of bullshite priorities.

Sounds like you could have depression. Why not see a doctor or the university health people.

I'm sorry to say so, but sadly it's true, that bang-ups and hang-ups can happen to you. You can get all hung up in a prickle-ly perch. And your gang will fly on. You'll be left in a lurch. When you're in a slump, you're not in for much fun. Unslumping yourself is not easily done.
That's the best I got.
But seriously dude, it happens to everyone. I lived alone for most of college and I got homesick sometimes, especially after spending a lot of time at home during breaks. But you'll get over it. Join some social clubs / groups that interest you and you'll make some good friends.
