People think it's funny but don't let a grown man who's been taking care of himself in a wheelchair get ahold of you. Their upper body and grip strength are usually pretty strong.

If a person threatened to come into your yard and kill your kids then you could do something about it BEFORE that happened.

That^ is not at all the same as your neighbor's dog barking at your kids through the fence...

The dog isn't threatening to murder your kids, the dog is reacting to a perceived threat and/or protecting its territory. If I were you I would talk to your kids about the proper way to handle and react to strange dogs. I would also tell your neighbor that you are worried about your childrens' safety. Tell the neighbor they need to either train their dog or keep it locked up. And tell them that if the dog does get loose in your yard and/or attacks your children you'll shoot it.

But for the love of god stop trying to compare a protective dog to a possibly murderous handicapped neighbor

Someone threatens my sons life, wheelchair or not, and he'll pay. Being in a wheelchair doesn't make a grown man special when it comes to that kind of shite. My son isn't even two yet, but I can't imagine feeling differently when he's older.

I learned from cartoons that old people in wheelchairs were evil.

Why? You wouldn't think twice about only a 12 year old pine fence keeping a large, ferocious, hungry, and neglected putbull from getting through? Not even when it is slamming itself against the fence, scratching underneath while barking and growling?

None of this is really happening, obviously. It's just a thought exercise.

Pretty sure the OP is trenting a house in the LP. he's the same douche that's been on here before bragging about his $100k salary and then bitched about being decline for FEMA assistance

Sounds like his trashy neighbor in the LP has a Pit bull and his feelings are hurt.

Sure, I'd think twice about it and may be a little apprehensive for my kids. That's why I said in my post that you should talk to your neighbors about fixing the issue, and don't be hesitant to do what is necessary to protect your kids.

But that does not mean this situation is comparable to a neighbor threatening to kill your children. It's seriously not even remotely similar.

You can do what my brother did to me one time. While in my chair, he pulled it all the way back and left me like that for awhile. I had to force myself to flip out of the chair so I wouldn't bes stuck.. B

A human and dog are different. A human has much more agency and understanding. A human understands right from wrong and is also capable of much more actions. A human can actually understand the weight of threats and has many more options to follow through on those threats. With a dog, you just make sure that it's properly restrained. The problem is solved that simply.

It isn't that a dog has more rights than a human. Whatever the frick you trying to get at with that doesn't even make sense. Like rights has anything to do with it. It's that a human has more responsibility than a dog.
